Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about our handmade traps? We're here to help you get started.

How often should I empty my fly trap?

We recommend emptying your trap every 3-5 days or when you notice the mesh becoming clogged with debris. This ensures maximum effectiveness and prevents the trap from becoming a breeding ground for flies.

Are the traps safe for horses and livestock?

Yes, our handmade traps are completely safe. They are made from non-toxic, durable materials that are safe for horses, cattle, and other livestock to be near. They are designed to be a humane alternative to chemical sprays.

What is the best location for a fly trap?

Place your trap in a high-traffic area where flies are most active. This includes near water sources, barn doors, or in the center of a pasture. Make sure it is at a height that is accessible to the flies but out of reach of your livestock.

How do I clean the mesh?

To clean the mesh, simply rinse it with warm water and a mild soap solution. Avoid using harsh chemicals or high-pressure hoses that could damage the delicate handmade fabric. Let it air dry completely before reassembling.
